What to Expect

This half-day sightseeing and culinary tour of Anchorage begins in downtown Anchorage. There you’ll join your engaging professional guide before hopping in the van to venture outside the city center. We’ll take you to Midtown, South Anchorage and Spenard to get acquainted with lesser known parts of town, which all host their own unique stories.

You’ll visit sights all around the city and along the way try delicious food, drink and sweet treats at locally-owned and operated small businesses offering regionally-sourced fare. You’ll have the opportunity to try Alaskan staples that may include fresh seafood dishes, unique game, craft beer, ice cream, and mouthwatering baked goods. You’ll learn about the history of these foods for a truly immersive culinary experience.

Of course, it wouldn’t be an Alaska tour without seeing some amazing views of the mountains and lush green landscapes during your journey. All the while, your passionate Alaskan guide will regale you with fascinating stories of this great state, from personal tales of living in Anchorage to the military history that has shaped the culture and land here.

After a half day of exploring and tasting your way around Anchorage, you’ll head back to our meeting point downtown with your head filled with stories, your heart filled with the Alaskan spirit and your belly filled with delicious local sustenance.
