What to Expect on this Anchorage City Tour
This full-day sightseeing and culinary tour of Anchorage begins in downtown Anchorage. There you’ll join your engaging local guide to visit some spots downtown before hopping in the van to venture outside the city center. We’ll take you to Midtown, South Anchorage and Spenard to get acquainted with lesser known parts of town, which all host their own unique stories.
You’ll visit sights all around the city and along the way try delicious food, drink and sweet treats at locally-owned and operated small businesses offering regionally-sourced fare. You’ll have the opportunity to try Alaskan staples like fresh seafood dishes, unique game, craft beer, ice cream, and mouthwatering baked goods. You’ll learn about the history of these foods for a truly immersive culinary experience.
Of course, it wouldn’t be an Alaska tour without seeing some amazing views of the mountains and lush green landscapes during your journey. All the while, your passionate Alaskan guide will regale you with fascinating stories of this great state, from personal tales of living in Anchorage to the military history that has shaped the culture and land here.
After a full day of exploring and tasting your way around Anchorage, you’ll head back to our meeting point downtown with your head filled with stories, your heart filled with the Alaskan spirit and your belly filled with delicious local sustenance.
Things to Know About this Anchorage City Tour
*This tour is not wheelchair accessible as our van is not able to accommodate wheelchairs at this time. People with hip problems, knee issues or other mobility problems should not take the tour.
We ask that guests arrive at least 15 minutes prior to their tour departure time.
Warning: We are not responsible for any food allergies or restrictions. If you have any, it is up to you to make sure that the food you eat on our tours doesn't trigger your allergies. We appreciate your understanding in this matter.
Unfortunately, we are unable to cater to those with special dietary restrictions (e.g. vegan, vegetarian, gluten free, etc.). The locations we visit and food we offer change frequently and sometimes with little notice. This makes it extremely difficult to make sure alternatives are available.
This tour operates regardless of weather, except in the case that an extreme weather advisory has been issued by state or federal authorities, or an unforeseen circumstance beyond our control. Please be prepared for all weather conditions.
